An Unforgettable Evening at Blenheim Palace: The Gala Dinner for Ukraine

On 19th October 2024, the Oxbridge Foundation hosted an extraordinary evening at the iconic Blenheim Palace. 'The Gala Dinner for Ukraine' brought together history, education, and philanthropy in a setting of unparalleled elegance, all in support of a critical cause.

The evening began in the Saloon, where guests enjoyed cocktails before proceeding to the Long Library for a captivating concert.

The National Soloists Ensemble Kyiv Camerata presented a one-of-a-kind performance inspired by an intriguing question:

How does a rocket become a musical instrument?

This theme was explored through two remarkable works composed during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Roman Hryhoriv's 'Song of the Unborn' for the BM27K Uragan missile and Zoltan Almashi's 'City of Mary' showcased the resilience of Ukrainian art and culture amidst adversity.

Following the concert, guests were invited to the Great Hall for a sumptuous three-course dinner. The evening's distinguished attendees included luminaries from the worlds of technology, sports, science, academia, diplomacy, and entertainment.

Renowned footballer, Ballon d'Or winner, and Oxbridge Foundation Ambassador Andriy Shevchenko shared his vision for supporting Ukrainian students, highlighting the transformative power of education in shaping Ukraine's future.

A guest of honourMr Zhan Beleniuk, an Olympic and World Champion, and a passionate advocate for youth and sports in Ukraine, also delivered an inspiring speech. His words emphasised the importance of perseverance, unity, and fostering opportunities for young Ukrainians to thrive amidst the adversity.

Proceeds from the event supported the Oxbridge Foundation's scholarship programmes, which provide talented Ukrainian students with opportunities to pursue world-class education at Cherwell College Oxford and the UC Berkeley Sutardja Centre for Entrepreneurship & Technology.

The Foundation is pleased to confirm that we have raised support equivalent to 15 scholarships for young Ukrainian adults to attend our AI, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp in the week commencing 7th of April 2025.

The Gala Dinner for Ukraine was a night of culture, generosity, and connection, affirming a shared commitment to empowering the next generation of Ukrainian innovators and leaders.
